India takes over china when it comes to worldwide broadband speed.



Data has been collected from 168 million speed tests in 200 countries for a period of one year ending May 19, 2018.


According to Cable.co.uk, India surpasses china under 'worldwide broadband speed test 2018'.

Singapore remains number one with 60.39Mbps Average download speed.

Data reveals that Yemen came in at the last place with Average 0.31Mbps Broadband speed.. Both countries retained their positions from last year, when the list was compiled for the first time.

India has doubled its average broadband speed since last year. India has improved its ranking by surpassing  31 countires including china.

India ranked at 88 number with Average download speed of 5.19Mbps.
Meanwhile, China ranked at 141 with Average download speed of 2.377Mbps.

The average global broadband speed measured during the period from 11 May 2016 to 10 May 2017 was 7.40Mbps. 

The average global broadband speed measured during the period from 30 May 2017 to 29 May 2018 was 9.10Mbps – a rise of 23%. That’s considerable.
